I recently came across my 2021 New Year’s Resolutions that I had written at the start of the year.
- Exercise
- Meditation/Yoga
- Investing/Finance
- Art(Drawing/Painting)
- Bullet Journalling
- Blogging
- Becoming more confident in myself
- Focus on my weaker subjects at school (science and maths)
- Become more organised and motivated when it comes to assignments and assessment tasks
- Try out for SRC
- Join ELF’s
- Join the Media Team
- Focus on self love and self care
- Make new friends and meet new people
- Continue building my relationships with my friends and family
- Become more confident playing saxophone in front of an audience and people
- Explore new artists and genres
- Make and edit Spotify playlists
Reflecting on this year so far, I’m not surprised that I haven’t really stuck to my goals at all. I guess that’s the weird thing about resolutions right? Everyone writes them, but barely anyone actually sticks to them.
However, even though I haven’t really focused on these goals, I’ve still been taking steps to fulfil them. For example, I’ve blogged every single day, whether they just be a short post of a picture, or a slightly longer post such as this one. Other goals such as bullet journaling and trying out for SRC didn’t go exactly to plan, but things change, and that’s okay.
I can’t believe that 8 months have already flown by, and it only just hit me that there’s only 4 months left of this year. A lot has changed, including myself. That scares me, but that’s just life isn’t it?
Moving forward, I want to focus more on these goals. By having daily reminders and small tasks that build up, I know that I can and will achieve them!
