Damn it’s the last day of school holidays! Tomorrow, I start my final term as a Year 9 student. While Term 3 was definitely not what I had expected it to be, I really enjoyed online school and focusing on myself.
I want to make the most of this final term, especially because I don’t know what’s going to happen surrounding covid and lockdown. We’re meant to go back to school on the 1st of November, but it’s not entirely certain that everything will go to plan. Hopefully we do get to go back to school, because I really want to see my friends in person and spend time with everyone.
This term, I especially want to:
- focus on myself
- try my best
- ask questions when I don’t understand something
- prioritise my tasks
- task/time management
- try new things
- participate in school events (if there are any)
- do some sort of self care every night (reading, writing, listening to music, working out, having a hot shower etc)
I already know that the first four weeks of school are going to be stressful since I have so many assessments due, but I’m excited to go back to school and see and spend time with my friends. The transition back to normal school is definitely going to be a difficult and uncomfortable one, but it’s all going to be worth it in the end!
