Wow I would say I’m surprised that it’s already February, but a part of me knew it would come along quite quickly.
January was definitely an interesting month, especially since I was still on school holidays. I had a few goals for Jan, including:
- To read 9 books
- Write weekly reflections
- Improve my typing speed (start learning to type properly)
- Exercise EVERYDAY
- Drink a bottle of water everyday
Overall, I accomplished most of my goals reasonably well.
Read 9 books: COMPLETED
I read:
- The Queen’s Assassin by Melissa De La Cruz
- The Queen’s Secret by Melissa De La Cruz
- Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake
- One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake
- Two Dark Reigns by Kendare Blake
- Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren
- Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas
- The Deal by Elle Kennedy
- The Mistake by Elle Kennedy
Write Weekly Reflections: COMPLETED
I did write weekly reflections, which helped me see what I accomplished what I did throughout the week. However, for future reflections, I want to include more detail and paragraphs, rather than just doing dot points as I think this will help both my writing and reflection skills a lot more.
Improve My Typing Speed: STARTED, BUT DIDN’T COMPLETE
I grinded on typing club for a week or so, but then I fell out of it as I moved on to more challenging skills like typing numbers. However, I did improve on my speed and accuracy while I was doing it, which is amazing!
Exercise Everyday: COMPLETED
I tracked what I did everyday for exercise using my workout calendar on notion, which was really helpful to look at visually and also quite functional as well. I exercised everyday, and also started increasing the time I work out from 30 minutes to 40 minutes. I also walked on the beach a lot this month, which was amazing for both my mental and physical health.
Drink a Bottle of Water Everyday: COMPLETED, BUT NOT TRACKED
I can’t say I successfully drank a bottle everyday, since I didn’t exactly track my drinking habits. I did try to drink and finish my drink bottle by the end of the day, but there were a few ‘off days’ where I just didn’t drink as much water as I should have. Staying hydrated is really important, especially for me since I get fatigued a lot, so I definitely want to continue drinking (and tracking) how much water I drink.
February Goals
For February, I want to focus on and accomplish these 5 goals:
- read 9 books
- read one self help book: Atomic Habits by James Clear
- read 2 to 3 pages a day
- exercise everyday
- focus on building stronger and bigger calves
- study for an hour each day on the weekend
- review material learnt in class EVERY DAY
- do khan academy EVERY DAY
- spend 15 minutes everyday adding and updating to my notion set up
