And just like that, another month has gone by! February definitely had it’s ups and downs, but it was filled with many of my ‘firsts’.
At the start of February, I wanted to accomplish the following goals:
- read 9 books
- read one self help book: Atomic Habits by James Clear
- read 2 to 3 pages a day
- exercise everyday
- focus on building stronger and bigger calves
- study for an hour each day on the weekend
- review material learnt in class EVERY DAY
- do khan academy EVERY DAY
- spend 15 minutes everyday adding and updating to my notion set up
So how did I do?
Read 9 Books: STARTED, BUT INCOMPLETE
I ended up reading 8 books in January, totalling my list of books for this year so far to 18! Here are a list of the books I read for this month:
- The Score by Elle Kennedy
- The Goal by Elle Kennedy
- The Legacy by Elle Kennedy
- The Chase by Elle Kennedy
- The Risk by Elle Kennedy
- The Play by Elle Kennedy
- The Dare by Elle Kennedy
- It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover
Read one self help book: Atomic Habits by James Clear (Read 2 to 3 pages a day): INCOMPLETE
This goal did not go to plan whatsoever. I didn’t even read ONE page of this book this month, and although I feel quite annoyed at myself for that, I did lack a lot of motivation to read it.
Exercise everyday (Focus on building stronger and bigger calves): COMPLETE
I successfully incorporated exercise into my regular routine, and have been doing calf exercises everyday to strengthen my leg muscles. I’ve seen a slight difference in the shape of my calves, but it’s not very noticeable. I’ve also been walking to and from school, playing handball at school, going for Jujitsu training, participating in PE and PASS practicals, and going to Indoor Niagara for sport.
Study For an Hour Each Day on the Weekend: HALF COMPLETE
- review material learnt in class EVERY DAY
- do khan academy EVERY DAY
This month, I started to study a lot more on the weekend, which was really helpful as I was able to complete any missed or leftover work that I hadn’t finished during the week. I’ve also started getting some of my assessments, and so my schedule has gotten a lot more hectic and stressful because of the extra work.
I did review material learnt in class everyday while unpacking and packing my bag, and I was able to finish any small tasks from the day.
However, I didn’t really study or do any practice questions on Khan Academy, but I definitely need and want to do more in the future.
Spend 15 minutes everyday adding and updating to my notion set up: COMPLETE
While I did refer to my notion for my weekly and daily schedule, it didn’t really contribute much to my future self. I think moving forward, I’ll have to develop an idea of what I want to accomplish through this routine.
