Am I surprised that April has already come to an end? No.
What I am surprised about however, is one, how quickly Term 1 and the holidays went, and two, how close I am to turning 16.
April was definitely a month of experiences – A LOT of things happened, both good and not-so-good things. Either way, we’ve gotten through them and moved on to another month.
I wrote down 5 main goals which I wanted to achieve in April including:
- read 9 books
- read everyday
- copy write/type 100 Ways To Improve Your Writing by Gary Provost
- sleep before 11pm
- study + complete homework everyday
- do khan academy everyday
- make some good memories with your friends and take photos
- exercise everyday
- rest day on thursday
So how did I do?
April Reflection
Read 9 Books: SMASHED THAT FOR SURE
Sub-goals:
- read everyday
- copy write/type 100 Ways To Improve Your Writing by Gary Provost
When I say that I smashed this goal for sure, I’m not even joking. This month I read a whopping 14 books which is definitely a lot more than I expected myself to read. In comparison, I only read 3 books the previous month, which to be fair, I was very busy with school and didn’t really have any time to read. I had 2 weeks of school holidays, which landed perfectly in the month of April, so you know what I was doing 😌😈.
If you haven’t noticed already, I haven’t really been posting book review blog posts as much anymore. Instead of multiple “filler” book reviews during the month, I’m planning to make one post at the end of each month with all the books that I read. So stayed tuned for that, because I will be posting it very soon.
This month I read:
- Love Drunk by T.L Smith
- Hate Sober by T.L Smith
- Regretting You by Colleen Hoover
- Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover
- Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover
- Maybe Not by Colleen Hoover
- Maybe Now by Colleen Hoover
- Confess by Colleen Hoover
- November 9 by Colleen Hoover
- Verity by Colleen Hoover
- The Kiss Thief by L.J Shen
- The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang
- Corrupt by Penelope Douglas
- Identity by LexiWexi18 (Wattpad Novel)
I’ve also been trying to make a habit of copy-writing 100 Ways To Improve Your Writing by Gary Provost, which I must say is going slow at the moment, but going nonetheless. Hopefully I’ll be able to write more this month!
Sleep Before 11pm: EHHHH…
I can’t say if I slept before 11pm every night, since I wasn’t really tracking my sleep schedule (boohoo me), but it was quite difficult since it was the holidays and I was pretty busy the entire time.
Study + complete homework everyday: ERMMMM
Subgoal:
- do khan academy everyday
Ummm I definitely did not spend the entire holidays and most of April procrastinating studying for my biology test-
I honestly didn’t have much school work to do during April, especially since most of my assessments were already over and I missed the last week of school (covid issues). I did try to study during the 2nd week of holidays, and I did do a little bit of Khan Academy, but not enough that I would say I successfully accomplished my goal.
Make some Good Memories with your Friends and take photos: HELL YEAHHH
April was definitely jam-packed with adventures and new experiences. In the second week of the holidays, I think I went to Sydney 5 times! I had a lot of fun going to the city and just in Sydney in general, but I also got really burnt out from travelling so often.
Over the holidays I experienced so so much including:
- 17th April 2022
- Going to the Australian Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour
- Exploring the boats at the docks
- Eating hotpot
- Trying new types of bubble tea
- Trying Starbucks for the first time
- 18th April 2022
- Youth Group Blue Mountains Trip
- Going to see the 3 Sisters
- Going to the Scenic Lookout
- 19th April 2022
- Going to Chatswood with my friends
- Going to Timezone
- Trying brown sugar bubble tea for the first time
- Shopping + going to the Pet Shop
- Taking lots of aesthetic photos
- Going to Central afterwards and eating hotpot (again)
- Went on the sky rail for the first time
- Roaming around QVD at night
- 23rd April 2022
- Going to Auburn by train
- Eating Turkish food >>>
- Getting sugar cane juice
- Eating Korean BBQ with my family friends
- Trying Max Brenner Chocolate Bar Dessert for the first time >>>>
- 24th April
- Going to Blacktown Markets
Exercise everyday (rest day on Thursday): GRIND TIME
Damn I love pushing my body! I didn’t realise how good consistently working out makes me feel both physically and mentally. I altered my workouts slightly this month since I was out of the house a lot, but I made up for it in my step count 💪🏾
