For Easter Sunday, Dad, Lucas, and I, as well as our family friends Roveena and Reanna, went on a bushwalk on the Great North Walk Trail. We walked down the trail from the tip of Umina Beach to Patonga Beach, where we ate some snacks on the beach and bought overpriced ice cream at a nearby cafe.
The trail was tough. There were many rocks, small gaps, and thick vegetation, and while the journey seemed not that difficult going downhill, the trek upwards was very tiring. Ironic, right?
Just like how it’s easy enough for our lives to quickly descend, the journey to “success” and to achieve our high expectations/goals is quite difficult. It’s harder for us to walk uphill than downhill, but even still, it’s possible.
Overall, I found this bush walk very worthwhile. We took some great photos at some different lookout points, and the view was amazing. Even though it was hot and steep, we all supported each other and kept going. It was a great experience, and I’m excited to try new experiences like this in the future!
