Learning from past experiences of making goals, this month I’m going to have only 4 goals that I need to commit to and do consistently. I found that the more goals you have, the less likely you are going to stick to all of them. So here are my monthly goals for May!
1. Practice my instrument for 30 minutes on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday
One big thing I’ve noticed so far this year, is that I haven’t been practicing my instrument consistently. I’ve been trying to balance school, music, and my other extracurriculars, as well as trying to set some time for myself.
2. Walk to school everyday with or without friends
The last month, I’ve been walking to school with two mutual friends, and I’ve really enjoyed it. While the walk from the train station to school has been tiring, in a way, it’s made me feel a lot more ready and relaxed for the day. Exercise is also something I’m trying to incorporate into my daily lifestyle, and walking to school is a simple, but effective way to release serotonin.
3. Write something everyday
Whether it be a blog post, a book review or just journaling, I want to write something every single day. The small steps I can take NOW, can impact me greatly in the long term, and will help me reach my end goal – to be a writer.
4. Take a positive risk everyday
I want to start living in the moment, and appreciating life and whatever comes my way. I want to take a positive risk everyday, whether it be trying something new, or hugging my friends.
