As part of our PDHPE unit, we all have to partake in some sort of physical activity over the week and record it in a table. Today the weather was gloomy and rainy, meaning that going outside for a walk wasn’t possible. However, that didn’t stop my friends and I from incorporating exercise into our day, and so we all decided to do a workout together!
We completed a 30 minute pumping cardio workout, and although it was very intense, we all pushed through the pain (and my soreness from yesterday’s workout), and finished the workout together.
Exercise was never one of my strong suits when I was growing up. I would put myself down every time during sport in primary school, and I deliberately did things even though I know I could do better. I think it was when I was Year 6, when I first actually tried in our school’s cross country, and I ended up coming 9th! It was crazy to me, since I just thought that I wasn’t ‘athletic enough’ and that sport just wasn’t my strong suit.
However, things started changing when I got into high school. I started trying a lot harder in PE and sport, and even though I wasn’t the ‘best,’ I still tried and had a go. Now that I look back, I can see how far I’ve come, and how my whole mindset has changed for the better.
Anyway, working out today with my friends was really fun and it was a great experience! I definitely want to start doing more home workouts in the future!
