My Opinion –
The Last Beginning by Lauren James is the gripping sequel to The Next Together. It’s a funny and incredibly imaginative continuation of the first novel, but the protagonist changes from Matthew and Katherine to Clove Sutcliffe. The Last Beginning is a wonderful story of true love and reincarnation and is set in a futuristic time period. I really liked how the author developed the character storyline, and incorporated time travel and science fiction into her writing. She also differed away from the “usual” love story and characterised Clove to fall in love with a girl that is from a different time period. I really enjoyed reading The Last Beginning, and I would definitely recommend for those looking for an interesting storyline and romance plot.
