This morning, I found out that the Premier had extended the Sydney lockdown by a week, meaning that students all over the region have to go back to online school. While this is only a precautionary measure since covid-19 cases are increasing, I’m slightly annoyed and upset that we have to go back to online school.
Last year when we had to do online school, it was honestly very stressful for me, because of the amount of work my teachers were giving me. Monday mornings were the worst, since I would get constant notifications from Google Classroom and Gmail about assignments, work, and meetings that the teachers expected us to complete over the week.
These past experiences of online school are making me slightly worried for school next week, but at least I now know how to cope and face this challenge. By having an optimistic and growth mindset about this challenge, I’m already starting to think about what methods I can implement so I can stay on top of my work and what needs to be done.
Hopefully the covid cases go down soon, and the lockdown isn’t extended any further! I’ll keep a track of my emotions as well during this stressful time, but all in all, I hope everything goes well, and we can go back to normal school in no time!
