It’s the last week of Term 1, and oh my god, the term has gone by so fast! It feels like yesterday that I just started Year 8, let alone Year 9.
I wanted to take sit down today, take a breath, and just reflect back upon my day.
First Period – Science Test
Last week of school, first period, and I was stuck doing a confusing group assessment task. I wasn’t sure how hard the test was going to be, and I was slightly nervous about it. However, with some help from my team members and my teacher, I completed the test and I’m really glad that it’s now over and done with.
Stress Side Effects
I’ve become a lot more stressed and anxious these past two years, due to pressures on my mental health, school, extra-curriculars, and an identity crisis. These have had a terrible impact on my physical health, as I’ve found myself blacking out more, frequently getting bad headaches, my hands will start shaking, and I even stopped eating properly for a while as well. To deal with these side effects, I often listen to music to get my mind off the physical side effects of stress.
Jujitsu Training
I had jujitsu training from 7-9 pm, and it was so good! I’m really sore now, and my body is so exhausted from all the techniques and training we did, but it felt so good to learn new things and push myself. I also found out that one of my friends, Isaac, has a similar music taste to me, so I got really excited and started talking to him about artists we like. The best news ever – HE ALSO LISTENS TO NF!!!!
Overall, my day was pretty eventful, from doing an assessment task to listening to music and playing handball. Even though today was slightly stressful with its downsides, I also had a lot of fun and tried to stay as optimistic as I could.
