Another month has flown by, and I will soon face my last term of being a Year 9 student. I’m honestly quite nervous for this term, since all my yearly’s have been packed into the first 4 weeks of the term. However, I’m hoping we slowly can start coming back to school later in the term.
Evaluation of My September Goals
This month, I wanted to continue to focus on myself and do things that make me happy. My goals for this month were to:
- Read 15 books in September
- Drink a bottle of water every day
- Workout every Wednesday
- Read 30 pages every day
- Write a blog post every day
- Consistently wake up at 7 am
- Go on walks after school
I used the “Habit Tracker” Template onĀ NotionĀ to track my goals. I think this method worked efficiently for me, as I can clearly visualise how well I stuck to my goals. Overall, I stuck to most of my goals, with a few off days.
Reading
I didn’t read 15 books in September, however I got pretty close with 13 books! I was reading consistently and even borrowed some physical books from the library, which motivated me even more to get off my laptop and read.
Drinking Water
I consistently drank a bottle of water every day, with the exception of only one day. I’ve noticed that I struggle with drinking more than one bottle, since I usually finish my bottle before I go to bed.
Exercise
I’ve been exercising every Wednesday with my friends, and I also started working out during the holidays from 4pm to 5pm. I’ve been incorporating physical activity into my routine, which I think is really good for both my physical and mental health. I’ve also noticed improvements in both of these aspects, and I’ve been gaining more muscle and becoming stronger.
However, I haven’t been going on walks after school since I find that I get very tired after a long day. I occasionally just listen to music and walk up and down the lane next to my house, but other than that, I haven’t really gone on many walks.
Blog Posts
I’m really proud to say that I have consistently written and posted blog posts every day! I also want to start writing different types of blog posts, such as motivational and philosophical ones.
Waking Up At 7am Everyday
I’ve noticed that I wake up slightly later during lockdown, and I think this is mainly because I feel unmotivated to start the day. I’ve been trying to wake up at 7am everyday, but it usually depends on my mood and if I feel tired or not. Overall, I stuck to this goal 2/3 times this month.
All in all, it hasn’t been very exciting this month. Life feels like it’s just repeating itself, and I’m getting quite bored with the same routine everyday. Hopefully I can try some new things to make October slightly more interesting!
