Due to the recent pandemic, I’ve been unable to go to the library and physically borrow books. However, with all this free time, I really wanted to get back into my reading routine. I started borrowing ebooks from our school library, and have been reading a book every day. Here are some of my favourite book quotes from my latest reads!
Paper Towns – John Green
Forever is composed of nows – Emily Dickinson
Nothing ever happens like you imagine it will
But then again, if you don’t imagine, nothing ever happens at all
Hate is Such a Strong Word – Sarah Ayoub
The rain pours down and drenches me, and I pray that it will wash away every negative thing I’m feeling because I’m sick of fighting tide that’s always dragging me under
And I realise something else too: my hate list will never stop growing. I’ll always have something to complain about because that’s who I am: a sullen, complacent teenager who’s working out her strengths, weaknesses, blessings and limitations, and using them to help her leap into the unknown after years of sheltered existence. So I’ll let myself keep hating.
Hate is such a strong word … But I LOVE the fact that I’m going to find myself, so that someday I’ll stop using it.
