I started this blog back in 2021, and suffice to say, only very few people read it. But I’m not doing it for my readers; I’m doing this for myself.
I was thinking about the different aspects of my life, and my whys. Why am I doing this? Why do I continue to put effort into this? Is this actually important?
This year, I want to grow as an individual. I want to become contempt with being by myself, and still be able to adapt to situations and connect with people. I want to make new friends, while still nourishing and continuing to grow my other relationships. I want to express myself, whether it be through my writing or music. I want to grow as a writer, and this blog is a way to express myself and achieve all these things, as well as an opportunity to hopefully inspire other people to grow and become the best versions of themselves too.
Sometimes when doing things on repeat, you forget why you’re even doing it in the first place. Sometimes it becomes overwhelming and hard to keep going, and giving up feels like the best option because you’re looking for the end results, when what you should be looking at is the process, the skills and the lessons you learn along the way.
And that’s why re-examining why you are (or aren’t) doing something is important. It’s about reconnecting with your why, and that’s what drives you to accomplish your goals. I hope you reflect onto your own lives and find the whys that drive you <3
