Well… this month has definitely been a hectic turn of events.
We went from 2 weeks of lockdown, to another 2 weeks, and now we are week 10 of lockdown! It’s crazy to think that I haven’t seen anyone another than my family in over 10 weeks. While this experience has been pretty crazy with quite a few downsides, it’s also allowed me to take a step back and just take some time for myself.
Mental Monthly Reflection
This month, I’ve began to prioritise myself more, especially in the afternoons and evenings after school. I’ve been reading a lot more, listening to music, writing and face timing Miju – and these things have all been going really well for me.
I’ve also been developing good time and task management strategies, such as prioritisation, using Notion to stay on top of my tasks, and working efficiently in the morning on the weekends so I can take the afternoon off. Thanks to these strategies, I’ve been getting my work done both quickly and efficiently, and have also been able to balance my my schedule and life.
Physical Monthly Reflection
This month, I’ve been noticing an increase in my physical activity. I have been working out consistently on Wednesdays with my friends, as well as doing Insanity workouts and other workouts during PASS with Sara. Although I haven’t been getting out of the house as much, I’ve still been pushing myself to work out, and it’s really fun and motivating doing it with my friends.
Social Monthly Reflection
Although the Covid19 lockdown has limited my social life, I’ve still been making an effort to contact my friends and loved ones. I realised that most people won’t bother to communicate with others during this time, but I think it’s very important to maintain these relationships. I’ve been face timing my friends during class, and I even got discord this month, which has allowed me to talk to more people such as Keith, Kevin and Jacob, who I don’t usually talk to.
Overall, I’ve reflected a lot on this past year during this month, and have been making the most of this hardship. I’ve made a routine that suits my needs, have maintained my relationships with other people, and have been working out with my friends in order to stay physically active! I still can’t believe we only have 3 months left of this year though!
