For every person, there is a different me
For every lie, there is a truth
For every face you see, is another one hidden
For the versions of me you cannot see
I may be a liar, a cheater, a fraud
But I am whole
Whole with the different pieces of me
Which I choose to show or hide
The versions of us stay hidden
Unless we decide to show them
Every lie, there is a fragment of truth
Every tale has a fractured story to tell
The happy ever afters don’t show you the tears
But humankind will
The stories we make up only live in our heads
Reality, far worse than we imagine
For the versions of us that aren’t real
For the versions of us that you can’t see
For the people we want to be, stuck
For we are forever fragments of the same person
Fragments no one can ever pull and piece together
Fragments of the puzzle no one can crack
Some try, all fail
Because, the fragments of us were never meant to be put together
