Here’s my little guide on how to ask interesting questions that will both get you a more in-depth response than just the general, fall-back answer! I highly recommend talking to different people at universities, such as post-grads, uni students, and professors, not matter how scary it may be. One key thing I learnt from my Macquarie Open Day experience, was that you will get more information about the university and the courses it offers by talking to people who ACTUALLY HAVE EXPERIENCE in that course!!
- What does this course/society entail?
- What made you pick this course/society?
- Why do you like it? What made it stand out for you?
- What opportunities does it provide and why is it important?
- What makes it different from other courses?
- How did you find out about this course/society?
- If you could go back in time and tell/give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be and why?
